Founding board members Geoff Plant, Doug Horswill (founding chair), and Michael Goldberg have retired from the board after completing their four-year terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Laudan is Vice-President of Public Affairs at the BC Council of Forest Industries and manages communications and for the BC Lumber Trade Council on softwood lumber trade issues. At COFI, she is responsible for public and government affairs, communications, community relations, and COFI\u2019s Forest Education program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Prokopanko founded P. Richards Inc, a natural resource consulting company. He was Director of Corporate Affairs with Rio Tinto Alcan until 2015, is currently a member of the BC Chamber of Commerce, was chair of the Mining Association of BC, chair of Arts Umbrella from 2011 \u2013 2013, and served as a long-term executive member of the Business Council of BC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to Mr. Turner, Resource Works\u2019 board includes Greg D\u2019Avignon, President and CEO of the Business Council of BC; Stewart Muir, Executive Director of the organization, historian, and journalist; and Philippa P. Wilshaw, an Audit Partner with KPMG\u2019s Greater Vancouver Area Energy and Natural Resource and Industrial Markets practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Resource Works communicates with British Columbians about the importance of the province’s resource sectors to their personal well-being. It demonstrates how responsible development of British Columbia’s resources creates jobs and incomes throughout the province, both directly and indirectly, while maintaining a clean and healthy environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And Resource Works explores the long-term economic future of British Columbia as a place that depends on the responsible development, extraction and transportation of the province’s resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
