When companies seek to export natural gas from the British Columbia coast in the form of LNG, Ottawa dispatches its scientists to study what impact the proposal would have on the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this example, for the Pacific NorthWest LNG facility near Prince Rupert, almost all of the factors examined were deemed to be safe (so long as the rules are followed as required).
