The Resource Works Society, an organization committed to promoting a responsible resource economy in British Columbia, is proud to welcome Dennis Chan as the newest member of its Advisory Council. Chan will be the seventeenth member of this diverse group of experts from across British Columbia, providing strategic guidance to the Resource Works Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chan will be welcomed at an event jointly hosted by Resource Works and S.U.C.C.E.S.S., a multicultural, multi-service agency assisting people at all stages of their Canadian experience, where Chan previously served as both director and chair. The event, a job fair for people seeking employment in the resource sector, will take place on Thursday, June 4th from 10am until noon at the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Social Service Centre in Vancouver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chan is currently the principal of Pathway Advisory Services, providing assistance to pharmaceutical and medical technology companies seeking public funding. Prior to becoming a consultant, Chan was an executive director in the Business Management, Supplier Relations & Systems Branch within the Pharmaceutical Services Division of the BC Ministry of Health. For his contributions to building the province through business, Chan was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by BC Premier Christy Clark in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“My background in business and my involvement in community organizations such as S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and the Canada Korean Business Association have made me aware of the diverse ways natural resources affect people’s everyday lives and our BC economy,” said Chan. “I am excited to join the Resource Works Advisory Council to be an active part of the conversation about responsible resource use in British Columbia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
