The Resource Works Society was launched in April 2014 to conduct research into the responsible resource economy of British Columbia and what it means for residents of the province. It is governed by an independent professional board of directors and advised by an Advisory Council representing a broad and neutral cross-section of British Columbia society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Gordienko has more than 40 years of experience in the labour movement and on the docks of British Columbia. The ILWU has 11 locals in British Columbia representing 3,200 members. These workers are instrumental in enabling the functioning of British Columbia\u2019s natural resource economy that accounts for 80 per cent of the province\u2019s goods exports and produced $25.5 billion worth of exports in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
