The project\u2019s new economic impact assessment shows it will bring <strong>$24 billion to the Canadian economy over 30 years<\/strong>, while sustaining <strong>up to 77,000 full-time equivalent jobs nationwide, 87% of them in B.C.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stewart Muir, President &amp; CEO of the Resource Works Society, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis project is a generational achievement. It proves that when Indigenous leadership, governments, and industry work together with determination, Canada can deliver world-class projects that advance prosperity and climate goals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Climate leadership and reconciliation in action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Resource Works congratulates the Nisga\u2019a Nation, the provincial and federal governments, and project partners for ensuring that world-leading climate performance and Indigenous reconciliation are built into the DNA of Ksi Lisims LNG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOCIAL &amp; ECONOMIC IMPACT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ownership as reconciliation<\/strong> \u2013 With the Nisga\u2019a Nation as a co-proponent and equity owner, Ksi Lisims represents one of the world\u2019s largest Indigenous-led energy projects.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Its ownership structure stands as a <strong>global example of economic reconciliation in action<\/strong>, directly advancing <strong>Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action 92<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lowest in the world<\/strong> \u2013 The project is set to achieve the <strong>lowest emissions intensity globally<\/strong>, powered by B.C.\u2019s clean hydro grid, and is <strong>net-zero ready by 2030<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Global benefit<\/strong> \u2013 Each cargo of LNG shipped from Ksi Lisims will help international buyers cut their emissions by choosing Canada\u2019s low-methane LNG over coal or higher-leakage sources abroad.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Clean feed gas, proven record<\/strong> \u2013 The natural gas that will supply Ksi Lisims comes from B.C.\u2019s upstream sector, which has already achieved a remarkable milestone: <strong>between 2014 and 2023, production grew by 67% while methane emissions fell by 51%<\/strong>. This means the province reached its <strong>2025 methane reduction target two years early<\/strong> \u2014 proof that climate gains are being delivered in practice.
