In January 2015, Resource Works and the BC Maritime Employers Association played host to one of Canada’s most interesting thinkers, Brian Lee Crowley of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute of Ottawa. In a two-part, all-day session held overlooking Canada’s busiest port, Crowley shared his views on the challenges of achieving social license for natural resource projects.

The prepared remarks for his presentations (which were followed by lively discussion sessions with the audience) are presented here in PDF format. (At bottom, Mr. Crowley is pictured with Stewart Muir of Resource Works, far left, and Andy Smith of the BCMEA, middle.)
